Inklings Kick-Off Meeting

We're kicking off the Inklings on August 2!

This is a new group, so we'll still be working out the kinks on August 2, but here's the plan:

• Please come prepared with ~2,000 words of a piece you're working on to share with the group. At the moment, the plan is for each writer to read their piece out loud (like the original Inklings), though we may shift this to sending stuff out in advance if we run into time issues.
• Each writer will read their segment aloud, and then the group will offer constructive feedback.
• We'll do this until everyone's piece has been read and critiqued.
• Bring your own water bottle/Coke/tasty non-alcoholic beverage; snacks will be provided.

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING: This group is by writers, for writers who are looking for meaningful, targeted feedback to improve their craft.
There are lots of wonderful meetups for beginning writers who are trying to figure out if writing is for them. There are also wonderful meetups with open write times. I'm a huge fan of both of these and highly recommend them. But this isn't meant to be either of those.

I know I tend to get too close to my work to be able to figure out what's not working. I could absolutely use the serious feedback; if you could, too, then welcome! Let's do this journey together!
