About us
We started the Inky Fingers Community Sketching Group because we wanted to get out of our living rooms and spend more time drawing with other people. Whether you are someone who has kept a sketchbook for years or you are just looking for an excuse to pick up a pencil for the first time in a long while, you are welcome here. There is no pressure to be an expert and no critique sessions; we are simply here to enjoy the process of observing the world around us and putting it down on paper.
Our meetups are low-key and casual. We usually pick a spot—like a quiet corner of a park, a local coffee shop, or a museum—and spend a few hours sketching whatever catches our eye. It is mostly about the company and the habit of showing up. If you are looking for a relaxed way to practice your craft and meet a few fellow artists in the area, come join us for a session. Bring whatever materials you feel comfortable using, and we will look forward to sketching alongside you.
