# Session Topic: Distress Tolerance

In this group coaching session we will explore distress tolerance — the ability to remain emotionally steady when facing discomfort, pressure, or uncertainty.
Many people struggle with productivity, boundaries, and follow-through not because they lack motivation, but because difficult emotions become overwhelming.

When we don't know how to tolerate emotional discomfort, we often respond with:
• procrastination
• avoidance
• emotional shutdown
• impulsive decisions

In this session we will explore:
• what distress tolerance actually means
• why emotional discomfort disrupts productivity and decision-making
• the nervous system's role in overwhelm
• practical ways to stay grounded during difficult moments
