The Polyvagal Sangha

The Polyvagal Sangha
A community of seekers exploring nervous system regulation through the lens of ancient wisdom and modern science.
A new tribe is forming. We're inviting 30 like-minded and like-hearted folks into an ongoing inquiry — learning to cultivate a greater felt sense of calm, ease, safety, and resilience in our bodies, our relationships, and the world around us. The goal isn't just personal regulation, but a ripple effect of co-regulation: a shift in how we show up for others and move through our own lives.
This is the first class in a 3-class series. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, yet a single dive will yield beneficial results towards salutogenesis.
Teachers: Omri Sitton, D.C. and Wills Reed, LCMHCA
Cost: $10–$15 suggested donation to local nonprofit Source Of Wellness.
*No one is turned away for lack of funds — all donations are appreciated.
How to Reserve Your Spot (please do both — priority goes to folks who complete both steps):
- Text Omri at 828-298-0011 with your name and whether you'd like to pay via Venmo or at the door
- RSVP on Meetup using the button on this page
A note on the two-step process: based on past events, people who only RSVP on Meetup often don't show up. Texting Omri directly helps us plan for who's actually coming — so please do both.
A Bit More Detail:
Polyvagal Theory (PVT) — conceptualized by Stephen Porges — reveals how our body and brain collaborate to respond to everyday stress and deeply held trauma. It highlights the role of the autonomic nervous system, especially the vagus nerve, in shaping our physical and mental health. Paired with mindfulness practices drawn from ancient traditions, PVT offers us both the science and the felt experience of coming back to our center.
By building community together, we naturally stimulate the social engagement system — the nervous system's highest branch — fostering connection, safety, and ease in body, mind, and life. This is the essence of The Polyvagal Sangha.
Participants will learn:
- Polyvagal Theory's three defining principles
- Somatic activities specific to each branch of the autonomic nervous system
- Awareness practices to soften emotional triggers and past traumas
- The body's innate biological responses, and the role of mindfulness in being present to "what is"
- How connecting with others committed to personal growth naturally lifts and supports us all
Join Omri and Wills for a series of illustrated, experiential presentations that will inspire your spirit, engage your mind, and challenge your creativity — as you uncover the enormous potential of applying this work in your daily life.
Feel Well. Heal Well. Live Well.

About Wills
Wills Reed, LCMHCA, is an Asheville-based psychotherapist with a particular interest in how our earliest relationships, life experiences, and nervous systems shape the way we experience ourselves and others.
His work draws from attachment-focused therapy, EMDR, somatic approaches, and a longtime personal practice of meditation and contemplative traditions. He enjoys helping people translate these ideas into practical experiences of greater safety, connection, and freedom in everyday life.
