Welcome to Inner West Speakers Toastmasters Club hosted in Annandale.
We are are a friendly, welcoming group who are interested in improving our public speaking and leadership skills and welcome all guests warmly.
Whether your goal is to enhance your professional presentation skills, gain confidence in addressing an audience, improve your ability to think on your feet, we find that doing it in the company of like-minded people can be a lot of fun. Meetings include both impromptu and prepared speaking practice.
When:
Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month.
Where:
The upstairs function room at the Village Church, 122 Johnston Street Annandale (located on the corner of Booth St). There is plenty of street parking located in surrounding streets.
Time:
We ask you to arrive by 7pm to meet the team and then we kick off at 7.15pm promptly and generally finish around 9.15/ 9.30pm. We do tend to relocate across the road to the North Annandale Hotel for a social drink afterwards if you would like to stay on.
Covid Safety:
Please do not attend if you feel unwell or have come in close contact with a positive case. Masks and hand sanitiser will be made available on the night.
Cost:
To assist in covering the room hire costs, we ask that guests contribute $5 on the night. We will provide you with banking details on the night to do an electronic transfer.
As a guest do I have to participate ?
Only if you would like to. As a guest you can just observe if that’s what you feel comfortable doing.
You are welcome to come along as a guest to observe and see if the group is right for you. If you choose to join the club, there is an annual membership fee.
We have a permanent base of regular members attending each meeting and so the RSVP's here are not reflective of the total number of attendees at each meeting. Group meetings are usually of around 15 - 20 members and guests.
