KL Rooftop Social & New Friends [Travelers Edition]

This meetup edition is for travelers, digital nomads, and anyone looking to meet an international crowd in KL. You'll find a mix of travelers passing through and people who've made KL home. Swap stories, discover new spots, and just have a fun night out on a rooftop.

The evening follows a structured format with small-group rotations, card games, and open social time later in the night.

We're hosting this one at a hidden rooftop bar tucked between KLCC and Bukit Bintang, inside the Hyatt Centric Hotel, a spot most people walk past without knowing it's there.

7:30 PM — Arrival & Welcome
Check in, grab a drink, and ease into the night.

8:00 PM — First Segment
Groups are assigned. You’ll start a Q&A round with your table to get to know each other.

8:30 PM — Second Segment
A card game kicks in. Losing player picks a challenge (nothing crazy, just something fun)

9:00 PM — Third Segment
Groups rotate. You’ll meet a new set of people to run the Q&A and card game with.

10:00 PM — Fourth Segment
Open social time. Move around, continue conversations or meet people you didn’t get paired with earlier.

11:00 PM — Last Segment
Spontaneous afterparty planning. The night isn't over unless you decide it is.

Is this event for dating or professional networking?
Not primarily. The main focus is meeting travel friends and genuine social connection. If something develops naturally between people — social, romantic, or professional — that’s completely up to them. This is not a business-card or LinkedIn kind of event.

I’m more introverted, will this still suit me?
Yes. The format is intentionally made to feel more comfortable than a typical free-flow social, so you won't just walk into the place and figure everything out on your own.

Can I just come and socialize freely?
Not quite. This meetup follows the structured format described above for most of the evening with an open session towards the end. If you're looking for a completely free-flow gathering, this one probably isn't the best fit. But if you're open to something a little different, come join us.
