Art Class Details - here in Alcona!
DRAWING THE HUMAN FIGURE
• Price: $15 per class at the door OR $80 per for 8 classes
• Dates: Every Thursday from January 9 to February 27
Kids: 6:30 ages 7-17 Adults 17 and up 7:30-9:00
Location:
• Address: 1571 Innisfil Beach Road, Innisfil, ON L9S 4B3
• Directions: Park in front, enter the first door on the right, down the stairs, follow the signage to the big classroom on the left.
Time:
• 6:30 pm: Kids (ages 7-16)
• 7:30 pm: Adults (ages 17+)
Bring:
• HB or darker pencil (2H may be too light), white or gum eraser, sketchbook or printer paper
• Supplies available if needed—come as you are!
First Lesson:
• Focus on drawing faces—learn structure, anatomy, and techniques like the Loomis method for better proportions, line, light, and shadow.
About the Instructor:
• Liam Jones, artist with years of experience, teaching with joy and passion for art.

This hands-on session will focus on techniques and tips for capturing the human form with precision and expression. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, this workshop is designed to sharpen your skills and expand your artistic vision.

Learn from local artist Liam Jones:
An artist from Innisfil Ontario working in acrylic and digital art. His work explores a Christian worldview, encouraging the viewer to be strong and courageous. His influences span traditional artists Van Gogh and Rembrandt to modernist artists Mark Rothko and various comic book artists. Liam’s current paintings are Christian symbolism such as lions and doves. He is writing a sci-fi hero comic book series titled “Hello Future”.
