Overview:
You’ve seen team metrics, such as velocity. And, you know velocity is not an accurate
measure of how the team is progressing to finish the product. Instead of velocity, see
various measures to understand what your team does, where the work is, and how long
the work takes. In addition, we’ll examine what it takes to explain the team’s progress to
others, in terms of the product backlog burnup chart, what’s done and not yet released,
and how to show others working product.
You’ll learn about team measurements:

 - Why velocity is a current capacity measure and not a measure of progress
 - How to see if a team is making progress or spinning its wheels
 - Product measurements that accurately reflect the team’s progress
 - How to get people excited about seeing working product
