## Shaping the Future Through Diverse PerspectivesInnovation thrives on diverse perspectives. At the second Thursday Gathering, established corporations, international students living in Fukuoka, and cutting-edge researchers will come together to discuss the challenges of shaping the future. We will explore the tradition that Toppan has cultivated over the years and the culture of innovation that has evolved within it. As Toppan celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2020, we will introduce examples of how the company is promoting open innovation and paving the way for the next 100 years. 福岡県で生活する外国人留学生のとある1日の出来事から、世界を感じ取るセッションです。外国人留学生と聞いてどのような留学生を想像しますか？出身国や家族構成、学んでいる専攻、日本に留学した理由、一人ひとりのストーリーと日常があります。そんな話を聞くことで、世界の文化や価値観、今この瞬間におきている出来事があなたにとって少し身近になってくれると嬉しいです。
This session offers a glimpse of the world through the experiences of international students living in Fukuoka. When you think of international students, what kind of image comes to mind? Each student has their own story—where they come from, their family background, their field of study, and their reasons for choosing Japan. By hearing these personal stories, we hope that global cultures, perspectives, and current events feel a little more familiar and connected to your everyday life.

The trending term “deep tech” is something many have heard of but may not fully understand. In this session, we will explore what deep tech really is, the differences between deep tech in Japan and abroad, and how university students involved in various research can think about the societal impact of their work. We’ll discuss potential career options related to their research and hear from leaders at the forefront of deep tech, including those who are successfully integrating it into business overseas. This session promises to provide valuable insights and networking opportunities for both professionals and students alike. We hope you’re looking forward to it!
