Innovate Orange - March Meetup

Hi folks,

Hope you are all looking forward to the next Meetup on Tuesday (23rd) we have two exciting local speakers lined up for our community night. A talk about the use of drones in agriculture, and the other talk will be about rocketry. A Zoom link will be emailed out to registered attendees on the day for those that can't make it to the Lord Anson, so please register if you are remote attending.

Tristan Steventon founder and Director of Stevtech who provides drone agriculture services based out of Parkes. Tristan will be speaking about the current state of drones in agriculture, give some use-cases/solutions and what cover type of data is gathered, plus the data platforms used.

Craig Strudwicke will be giving a talk about "Amateur Experimental Rocketry", which will provide an overview of amateur experimental Rockets, what it is, the disciplines involved, example vehicles and flights. Craig will be showing the makeup of a rocket and some examples of what goes into making and flying one. There will be some physical hardware on the night for some hands on learning (no we won't be flying the rockets 😂).
