In our digitally connected world, where memes, social media, and text groups facilitate communication, four Black women maintain their unbreakable bond from young adulthood into middle age. Life takes them to Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City, where they pursue diverse careers as chefs, physicians, and librarians. While some encounter unfulfilling relationships, others face estrangement from their families. Through self-reflection, they explore the concept of thriving and delve into how the intersections of race, gender, class, sexuality, ability, and other factors shape their personal, familial, and communal experiences. Their bond serves as a poignant reminder of the past while also sparking relevant and engaging discussions about contemporary issues.
