Welcome to Inside Wine Santa Barbara!! Our group features tastings with winemakers and sommeliers who give us the "inside scoop" on viniculture, viticulture, wine-food pairing and wine appreciation.
IWSB was co-founded in September of 2012 by Tama Takahashi and Lila Brown. We were "baking buddies" at the School of Culinary Arts at SBCC and channeled our mutual interest in wine & food into creating educational and affordable wine & food events.
In January 2015, when Lila moved to Sonoma, Hana-Lee Sedgwick served as Co-organizer for two years.
I continue hand selecting the best and most interesting winemakers and wineries to share with our membership. I have edited three cookbooks, including "Around the Table" for The Lark restaurant and am studying for my level 2 WSET. I don't make money off the events, I organize them to learn more about wine and connect with other wine aficionados. Your email and information is safe and not even visible to me.
