Presqu'ile Winemaking: Wine Tasting and Lunch
“Presqu'ile is quite simply the most exciting new winery I've come across in several years... It's hard to overstate just how remarkable these wines are and the statement they make.” –Alder Yarrow, Vinography “Proprietor Matt Murphy and his family have been absolutely relentless in their total pursuit of excellence. Presqu’ile is an estate to keep an eye on.” –Antonio Galloni, Vinous Presqu’ile Unveils Winemaking Palace: "With bocce ball court views extending from Point San Luis to the dunes of Guadalupe to the historic Bien Nacido Vineyard across the river, the new winery — which required two years of steady construction to build and must have cost many millions, though the family won’t say — is making it much easier to get a taste of the Santa Maria Valley. And with sleek modernist architecture, the latest 21st-century winemaking technology, and a commitment to sustainable practices in both the winery and surrounding vineyards, Presqu’ile is bringing a polished style to the boot- and blue-jeans-wearing region, all while staying focused on making some of the tastiest wines around." What we're about

Welcome to Inside Wine Santa Barbara!! Our group features tastings with winemakers and sommeliers who give us the "inside scoop" on viniculture, viticulture, wine-food pairing and wine appreciation.

IWSB was co-founded in September of 2012 by Tama Takahashi and Lila Brown. We were "baking buddies" at the School of Culinary Arts at SBCC and channeled our mutual interest in wine & food into creating educational and affordable wine & food events.

In January 2015, when Lila moved to Sonoma, Hana-Lee Sedgwick served as Co-organizer for two years.

I continue hand selecting the best and most interesting winemakers and wineries to share with our membership. I have edited three cookbooks, including "Around the Table" for The Lark restaurant and completed my level 2 WSET wine education certification. I don't make money off the events, I organize them to learn more about wine and connect with other wine aficionados. Your email and information is safe and not even visible to me. Membership is free (must be 21+). Welcome, let's celebrate the diversity and quality of our wine and food in this unique and remarkable region of the world!
