Philosophy Nights ! (Theme: Feminism Night)

Dear Friends of the Philosophy Meetup!
It's with great joy that we announce another Philosophy Night! We continue to be humbled by the people who tell us that their Saturdays just aren't the same without their weekly dose of philosophy and community.
To that end, we are currently partnering with Maison de l'Afrique in Rosemont (a few mins away from Beaubien station).
Meetup fee 12.00$
Fees maintain our operations and black coffee, tea and some snacks are included.

Theme: Feminism
Topics:

1. What is feminism and why do we still need it today?

2. How and why are the perspectives of women minimized in different spheres such as legislation, at home, at work and in these types of difficult discussions?

3. How should allyship/empathy to the cause of women be manifested by those who don't belong to that group?

For those not familiar with the format, here is how the night will work:
Topics don't need to be strictly philosophical, they can be social, political or historical, anything that the group decides is worth discussing.
- Maison de l'Afrique then closes but we often continue into the night at a local pub/eatery.
So come by to see old friends, make new ones and have stimulating discussions with amazing open-minded people from all walks of life!
