Philosophy Nights! (Theme: The Nature of Philosophy)

Dear Friends of the Philosophy Meetup!
It's with great joy that we announce another Philosophy Night! Saturdays aren't the same without their weekly dose of philosophy and community.
To that end, we are currently partnering with Maison de l'Afrique in Rosemont (a few mins away from Beaubien station).
Meetup fee 12.00$
Fees cover our operations, and black coffee, tea, and some snacks are included.

Theme: An Analysis on the Nature of Philosophy
Topics:

1. What is the ultimate goal of a philosophy? Is a philosophy still useful if it's impractical? Does intellectual knowledge/understanding suffice?
2. If you ascribe to a philosophy like nihilism or absurdism, apart from identity formation, how does it influence your decision-making on a day-to-day basis?
3. TBD

For those not familiar with the format, here is how the night will work:
Topics don't need to be strictly philosophical, they can be social, political or historical, anything that the group decides is worth discussing.
Come by to see old friends, make new ones, and have stimulating discussions with amazing open-minded people from all walks of life!
