Details
Understand and unravel the mysteries around these ancient yogic practices. If you have ever been to a yoga class, festival or celebration, it’s most likely you have seen one or more of these being used.
This workshop will introduce you to the ancient practices, and lift the veil so you can begin to introduce them into your meditations and daily life.
This workshop will explain and guide you through the history and use of a mala. The beaded necklace used for prayers and mantra. Mantra will be introduced using the 7 most common Sanskrit verses, which will enable you to dive deeper into your meditation practice, in the studio and at home.
Mudras, which are hand gestures, will be demonstrated and explained so you can comfortably use them to “seal” in your practice, prayers and intentions.
There is no experience necessary, only curiosity to deepen your meditation and asana practice. No physical asana (practice) will be done. We will be reciting the Mantras, learning Mudras and becoming familiar with the Mala beads. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Traditional Himalayan Rudraksha Japa Mala beads will be provided and will be available to purchase for $20.00 if you have made a special bond with them.
