Starting and carrying on a conversation

Do you know how to start and carry on a conversation with a stranger? Whether meeting a client for the first time or networking at a business function, knowing how to 'small talk' is an important skill to develop.

At our following meetup, we will learn about the art of 'small talk' or informal social chat. We will discuss some of the topics you can use and those to avoid during an informal conversation. You will also improve your vocabulary and learn new expressions to help you carry on a conversation. As usual, the lessons will be accompanied by interactive group activities to activate your hidden English speaking skills as well as a useful grammar lesson that you will help you in your day to day interactions.
