Somatic Psychedelic Integration
Details
Join us the first Monday evening of each month from 7:30 to 9 PM at Weaverville Yoga for Somatic Psychedelic Integration as we explore the all-important process of integrating our experiences from plant medicines and other psychedelics into our body. This beautiful and easily accessible studio with ample parking is located in downtown Weaverville at 3 Florida Avenue, across the street from Well-Bred Bakery & Cafe.
Each Meetup will provide an educational offering with simple, easy to adopt mindfulness, movement and breathing practices, as well as other useful tools for somatic integration. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and open sharing. Seating and refreshments are provided, donations are appreciated.
Experts agree that integrating a psychedelic experience is often overlooked and critically important to healing and transformation. Following a psychedelic experience, neuroplasticity provides fertile ground for positive change, especially in the initial three to four weeks afterwards. Our brain is primed for new ideas and behaviors. We can choose what thoughts we want to encourage and envision the action steps we wish to take. Without integration support, we may be at risk of returning to old, familiar patterns of thinking and behavior without intending to regress.
The way we inhabit our body is formed by repeated patterns, over and over again. Bringing our body into the integration of a psychedelic experience allows for flexibility in how we respond to the next stressor. When we regularly repeat the new response a new pattern is created in both the mind and the body, and that’s where our spirit can shine.
