• Resumen: Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way we live. The financial sector was one of the pioneers in the use and implementation of AI and its rise has blazed a trail in a new era: the Fintech world. In the talk we will see different examples and applications of AI in the financial world, from models used to analyze and process credit applications to models to prevent fraud and leaks. We are talking about reducing costs, increasing efficiency, optimizing functionalities, among other advantages, seeking to be an asset and a competitive advantage in the market.

Ilana Stolovas: My name is Ilana Stolovas, and i am currently finishing my degree on Electrical Engineering, specialized in Signal Processing and Machine Learning in UdelaR, Montevideo. I work at Marvik as a Data Scientist.

Maria Eugenia Pastor: My name is María Eugenia Pastor, B.S. Biotechnology, MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science and Master of Data Science. Currently working in the data analysis area in Bantotal and Infocus BT. Professor of the subject "Machine Learning techniques for data analysis" of University ORT, Uruguay.
