About us
Our mission is to make you the most fit version of yourself through movement, better nutrition, and healthier daily habits. And you know you want some of that!
Intensity Matters (IM) is Tokyo's outdoor fitness community where we get outside to run, jump, lift, yell, meet new people, and get a good sweat on!
Some people run a few times a week. Others prefer yoga or Pilates. And many hit the gym to lift weights. Why not do it all?
We've been sweating it out in Shirokane, Minato-ku, Tokyo since 2016, bringing together Japanese and international members for fun, challenging outdoor workouts. We're a bilingual (English/Japanese) community, just a short walk from Hiroo and Ebisu, and whether you're a total beginner, seasoned athlete, or just looking to make some new friends in Tokyo, there's a place for you here.
Every IM session is a physical and mental challenge. You'll learn to do things you never thought you could, practice some moves you already know, and walk away feeling like you've accomplished something. All you have to do is show up!
Into anything from ice hockey to triathlons to yoga? Looking for some after-work stress relief? Or just want to get moving with a great bunch of people? Come join us and get that heart rate pumpin'!
Here on Meetup, you'll find our free community workouts, occasional hikes, and special events. It's the perfect way to meet the crew and get a taste of IM.
Our regular weeknight fitness classes run outdoors, rain or shine. Find the schedule and book your sessions at **intensitymatters.com**.

Let's put 10 years of fitness to good use!
We're heading out of Tokyo to Sanba Farm in Chiba, a vegetable farm that has been connected with the Intensity Matters community for the past decade.
They grow some of the most amazing vegetables and always could use a helping hand. We'll spend the day getting our hands dirty, helping out in whatever way Farmer Shinya needs that day, enjoying some fresh air, and doing a different kind of workout!
No farming experience necessary. Just a willingness to pitch in, get a little dirty, and enjoy the day with good people.Date: Saturday, November 28
Time: 8:00 AMâ4:00 PM
Location: Sanba Farm, Sanbu City, Chiba
Bring: Clothes and shoes suitable for farm work, gloves, water, and anything else you need for a day outdoors.*Travel and meeting details will be shared with participants.
This is our chance to give something back to the people that have always supported us. It would be great to have you there!
