What we’re about

Modern dating is exhausting. Ghosting, mixed signals, power games, burnout.
This is a grounded, guided conversation space for people who want healthier dating experiences — without blame, fixing, or advice-giving.

## Who This Is For

This space is for people who are actively dating (or recovering from it) in New York City and feel the weight of it — the burnout, the confusion, the mixed signals, the emotional whiplash.
It’s for people who:

  • Need a place to vent honestly about their dating experiences
  • Want to be seen and witnessed without being analyzed or fixed
  • Are tired of pretending dating is “fine” when it’s clearly not
  • Can listen respectfully to others’ experiences, even when they differ from their own

You don’t need to have answers. You don’t need to be “good at sharing.” You just need to show up honestly.

## What Happens

This is a live, participatory conversation, not a lecture.
The space is lightly structured to keep things safe and balanced, but the experience is built collectively by the people in the room.
You can expect:

  • A brief opening to set tone and boundaries
  • Shared space for people to speak about real dating experiences in NYC
  • Listening without interruption, fixing, or debate
  • Optional reflection prompts to help people articulate what they’ve been holding in

You’re welcome to speak, listen, or do a bit of both. Participation is encouraged, never forced.

## What This Is Not

To keep the space clean and respectful, this is not:

  • A dating event
  • A place to flirt, exchange numbers, or look for a partner
  • Group therapy or a professionally facilitated workshop
  • A talk by an expert followed by a Q&A

This is a grassroots, peer-led circle — a space created with participants, not for an audience.
If you’re looking to meet someone romantically, there are many great Meetup groups for that. This space is about processing the experience of dating itself, not continuing it inside the room.
