Human Agency in Intelligent Systems

“Human in the loop” is often used to describe responsible AI. But too often, it means little more than a quick review or checkbox at the end of a fully automated process. This is not real human involvement.

In this session, we’ll revisit what it truly means to account for the human in the system when using AI. Drawing on behavioral science, we’ll show why human intent, context, and cultural awareness matter as much as technical accuracy.

Through Ecogentic, our AI agent builder, we’ll explore how humans and AI can work as partners. Additionally, we’ll demonstrate how to design agentic journeys that learn from behavior, act in real time, and reflect human values.
