What we’re about
Recently moved to Brisbane? New in town or just wanting to get out there and meet new people?
We welcome everyone from all cultures and from all parts of the world!! Locals are welcome too :)
If you have an event that you'd like to go to please suggest them. We love suggestions as long as it's in no way a promotion of your personal business and services.
We wish everyone to feel comfortable and if you feel unsafe to message the admins so we can try to resolve the situation. Also sometimes life gets busy and we miss out on new member requests so feel free to also follow-up or message admins after a few days.
If you'd like the opportunity to host events we absolutely welcome your ideas and energy.
RSVP etiquette:
If you have RSVPd 'Yes' to an event, but can longer attend, you must change your RSVP to 'No'. This gives other members a chance to attend the event.
If you are unable to change your RSVP for any reason, please message the organizer of the event. Failure to attend the event without changing your RSVP will result in a message being sent by the organizer, and you are required to respond within three days.
A second consecutive no-show without a response to the organizer will result in the termination of your membership.

See all- Mount Ngungun Summit Sunset HikeNeeds location
The sunsets are quite spectacular lately with orange and red hues.
Who then wants to hike up Mt Ngungun on the Sunshine Coast to see sunset? The trail is slightly rocky so reasonable shoes are good (sports shoes are fine). I've checked with the locals and the showers are forecasted to stop early morning and will be dry by the time we get there in the middle of the afternoon.
It takes 30 minutes up for those with good fitness and 45 minutes to an hour for those with reasonable fitness. 30 minutes back down.
The Mount Ngungun summit walking track, In Glass House Mountains National Park, is a 2.8 kilometre return trail that begins in open forest and offers great views of Mount Tibrogargan, Mount Coonowrin and Mount Beerwah from the summit. Don't forget to pack your camera as you'll find a 360 degree panoramic view of the coast and hinterland at the top!
