Feminist Book Club - Norwich - Black History Month (1)
Details
For Black History month, we’re going to bring light to a rich history that has been swept under the imperial rug.
This month's book is:
Black and British: A Forgotten History by David Olusoga.
Olusoga drags the nation’s past into the daylight, tearing through centuries of selective memory to show that Black history is British history, not an add-on, not a footnote, but woven right into the fabric of the country. From Roman Britain to Windrush, he dismantles the myth of a homogenous, white past and exposes how empire, enslavement, migration, and resistance have shaped the nation we live in.
So join us as we uncover histories and uplift the voices and that were pushed to the margins.
