Linguas is a Melbourne language exchange and international social community hosting relaxed weekly events in the Melbourne CBD for locals, international students, travellers, backpackers, expats and young professionals.
Our events are designed for people who want to make friends in Melbourne, practise English, meet internationals, enjoy casual conversations, and be part of a friendly social community without awkward networking or pressure.
At Linguas, you can expect a welcoming mix of people from all over the world, casual drinks, music, language exchange, social games, board games, gaming nights, video game meetups and easy ways to meet new people in Melbourne.

This group is hosted by the team behind Intermingle Australia, a growing network of Melbourne social communities and events, including:
- Linguas Language Exchange — weekly language exchange and international social events

- Thought Experiment — small-group, scenario-based discussions exploring ethics, technology and difficult choices

Linguas Australia no longer runs events at Diesel Bar. Diesel Bar was one of our previous venues.

Join us at Alfie’s Bar near Queen Victoria Market for a more energetic, social and party-focused version of our regular Linguas language exchange events.

Join us at Alfie’s Bar for a relaxed beginner Salsa + Bachata class with Arturo Ramos, followed by the Linguas Saturday International Party.
