Chef’s Secret Tasting: No Menu, No Mercy

Our group has been granted temporary culinary security clearance at Tasty Corner Chinese Restaurant, where the chefs will open the vault and serve us their personal favorites: the rarely ordered treasures, exotic dishes they love most.

There will be no ordering, no menus, and no choices. For $30 per person, we surrender all control to the chefs and receive whatever arrives at the table. Alarming: yes. Freeing: surely.

The chefs are driving. We are passengers. The destination is flavor. Come hungry. Come brave. You’ve been cleared for maximum dumpling exposure.

Important mission details:

🕵️ Please only sign up if you are truly committed to coming. The chef is planning the meal around our final headcount, so if someone no-shows, I will have to cover the cost of that person’s share. That is not the kind of spicy surprise we are looking for.

💵 Please bring $30 cash. This covers your dinner, including gratuity.

🌶️ We have asked the chef to keep the spice level moderate, but please know that Szechuan Chinese cooking can still bring a little heat. There will be both spicy and non-spicy dishes, so no one is being marched directly into the pepper mines without warning.
