Are you living in the Netherlands and looking to level up your cycling? đłđą
We noticed a massive gap in the local cycling scene: either youâre doing a 15 kph grocery run, or youâre being dropped by a professional-looking peloton going 35 kph.
Weâre creating a Middle-Ground Social Cycling Group for those who want to get faster, build endurance, and meet a great mix of internationals and localsâwithout the "Tour de France" pressure.
The Pace: We aim for a steady 20â27 kph. Fast enough to feel the burn, relaxed enough to keep it social.
The Distance: Routes between 30 km and 50 km. Gotta earn those post-workout snacks đ
The Culture: We start together andâmost importantlyâwe end together with a drink and a sweet treat. đşđĽ
đ The Ground Rules:
- Bike: Racefiets, Hybrid or MTB required (unless youâre a legend on an Omafiets).
- Safety First: Helmets are optional (unless a fast ride is planned). Would be mentioned during the event!
- Self-Reliance: Bring your own spare tubes (donât test your luck with the Dutch wind).
- Flexibility: Weâll have rest stops where others can join for shorter segments if youâre just starting out.
- Pedals: Flat or clip-onsâwhatever makes you feel safest and fastest.
