What we’re about
I am creating a brand new group, to connect persons from other countries as well as people who have lived abroad and have a worldly soul, via a very wide array of activities. People who have moved here recently are especially encouraged to join, it can be hard to build connections in a new place.
I picture a mix of local cultural events and potlucks, along with more active events such as canoeing, hiking, salsa dancing-- where people can share memorable experiences; and meetings at an ethnic restaurant, a patio bar, picnic gazebo, or a wine-tasting event, or even...go pumpkin-picking, where it is easy to converse and get acquainted. <br>I want to think outside the box, build a whole team around me to brainstorm, to create a broad spectrum of exciting events that inspire and bring people together in a shared experience. <br>(Of course for the time being all get togethers will abide by social distancing practices). <br>If this appeals to you, if you wish to have a friendly, welcoming, FUN avenue to meet worldly people, join our group and let's start building something wonderful!!
The first event will take place late August, to allow for time for new members to sign up and to form a core of event organizers. Stay tuned!
