FULL MOON BONFIRE BIG POTLUCK PICNIC! Fifteen Multi-groups @Mission Bay! Music!

Come celebrate Spring is coming! FULL MOON BONFIRE and TGIF! Bring your music, guitars, play and singalong! Or another instrument if you have one. Live music is great, or recorded with a small amp would work.

Anybody have some light rock hits on their iphone with a portable bluetooth amplifier?

Some cosmopolitan mixed multi-groups and hikers will be there. Many rsvps from those groups. Please bring some dry firewood if you possibly can!

Dress warm and have warm jacket & blanket in your car! BRING BEACH CHAIRS! FIREWOOD! But NO ALCOHOL allowed on City beaches!

Celebrate with your International Friends, many hikers/explorers and various friendly mixed members from fifteen other very active Meetup social groups tonight!

Grab your beach chairs, nice potluck food and utensil for it, some sodas, a jacket in your car, flashlight/lantern and some dry firewood appreciated!

Main courses or big entrees are best for this potluck group, bring something that YOU would like to eat, so then you know it will be there. Pre-cooked food, unless you also bring a BBQ and fuel to cook your food. Cut into small pieces is best!

Please specify what you are bringing in your rsvp, you can also update it in comments here closer to the event date.

If you need ideas, plan something YOU like or stop by Costco and pickup a party tray or their spiral turkey sandwiches, chicken tenders, etc. Or bring large fresh pizzas! Or cases of sodas or water!

NO ALCOHOL! (or glass) is allowed on City beaches, they might come around and check. They DID drive by on beach a few months ago! NO ALCOHOL! $400 fine!

Potluck starts about 5pm but come early or whenever you can for best parking, maybe play games or walk a few miles along beautiful Mission Bay while you are down there.

I will go very early and most likely get the furthest West double picnic tables and closest fire ring. ( The Sun sets in the West, for non-scouts ) Walk the sidewalk to the North-West end and then look for us at the double picnic tables and closest fire ring nearby.

Notice: the powerful lawn sprinklers may possibly come on after 9pm and soak the grass and picnic tables area, so let's put leftover food and dishes/utensils/bags away in cars well before then and move everyone's chairs over to the sand close around the fire-ring after dark before 9pm!

The sprinklers mostly did NOT get us for the last year, no guarantees for this month. They came on briefly about 10pm over a year ago, a few people got lightly sprinkled!

Hanging around the picnic tables/grassy area after 9pm could possibly get you a bit wet! Only fun if it has been a warm day!

Coming North on H-5 take Clairemont Dr offramp and turn West, crossing 5 and then turn right onto E Mission Bay Dr. Go to De Anza Rd.

Coming South on H-5 you may take Balboa/MBayDr offramp( or if very heavy traffic at Balboa ramp just continue South on 5 to Clairemont Dr turn off ), proceed straight on Mission Bay Dr thru six stoplights before taking sharp right turn from right lane just before entering 5 South again, West into N Mission Bay Dr, turn right at stopsign and go North to De Anza Rd.

IF you miss that sharp right turn and end up on H-5 South, you can still take the next offramp Clairemont Dr and get on E Mission Bay Dr going North along there to De Anza Rd.
