In the age of digital media there is a growing demand for voice-over artists, and all you need to enter the industry is a good voice, a laptop, and a decent microphone. From Youtube channels to radio, audiobooks to documentaries, this workshop offers a nuts and bolts approach to recording your own voice demo, finding paid work, and working with your voice to create a challenging but fun source of income.

In this playful, two-hour workshop, we will use games, exercises and mock recordings to explore your potential as a voice actor.

The Vocal Toolbox is for actors, public-facing professionals and anyone else seeking to improve their vocal delivery. Most communication is 50% vocal and 50% everything else, and yet the voice is a versatile instrument so few of us have learnt how to play.

In this intensive workshop, you will be offered the tools and knowledge you need to become a more powerful performer, both on stage and in life. You will be given the license to play, experiment, and explore because only in this way will you discover your potential.

You will:

• Learn how to protect and strengthen your voice
• Expand in confidence as a vocal performer
• Learn a range of fun techniques and exercises to develop your range and technique
• Explore the intimate relationship between language & delivery
• Experiment with voice as a starting point for character development
• Connect & network with other performers.

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to relax and have a drink with your fellow performers.
