Tonight, I am proud to award our host, Rich a silver medal from the President of the United States for hosting 146 public events and volunteering 292 hours. This is the third year the President of the United States has recognized the International Friend Connection family of groups for our work in fighting the war on social isolation and loneliness. Because of my special relationship with the Points of Light Foundation, I am authorized by the White House to give out medals to volunteers who qualify.
