📚✨ Dive into The Plague by Albert Camus - Book Club! ✨📚

Details

Looking for a book club that focuses on reading specific books together? Unlike Amy's wonderful general discussions, this group dives deep into one book at a time, alternating between fiction and non-fiction, giving us a chance to engage with the story and its themes.

This month, we’re diving into The Plague by Albert Camus, a haunting blend of existential philosophy, moral inquiry, and human resilience. Join us as we follow the inhabitants of Oran, a quarantined Algerian town gripped by a deadly epidemic, while Camus explores the depths of suffering, solidarity, and the absurd heroism found in everyday resistance. Let’s examine how Camus uses the metaphor of plague to reflect on isolation, collective struggle, and the enduring question of what it means to act with integrity in the face of an indifferent universe—day after day, choice after choice.

đź“– How it works:
This is a recurring event, held every four weeks on Sunday. We’d love for you to join us—even if you haven’t finished the book. The discussion is always relaxed and fun, and we often end up chatting about all sorts of related topics.

Please RSVP or CANCEL your spot so I can make an accurate reservation. Looking forward to seeing you there! 🙂

📍 Location: Extrablatt Café (U-Bahn stop Lorenzkirche)
