Welcome! This is a place to meet new friends and learn about many cultures!
Most events are virtual for the time being and include social, language practice, and discussions about all things international. We have a monthly new member welcome, and it’s usually about half new members at any event, so you’ll never feel too new. 🙂
Hello fellow travelers!
Our actual travel options are kind of limited now, but we can get together and remember our past trips, talk about our future trips, and maybe even figure out a way for a small group to meet up at an appropriately distanced outdoor location for a day trip. Maybe a park or the outdoor grounds of a museum.
Anyway, it would be great just to meet virtually and talk about travel, so we’ll start there. 😁
What does international culture mean to you? What are some of the most meaningful cultural and educational experiences you’ve had or hope to have?
How do new and different points of view affect your daily life, and what are your thoughts about what’s going on in our world?
Who are your favorite international authors, artists, and directors? And what has this meant to you? Anime counts too of course! 😉
Let’s talk, get acquainted, share the things we appreciate, and discuss how we hope and plan to keep our international connectivity going in the world of today. ✨
Hi everyone, let’s get to know each other and socialize for a little while! Especially it will be good to meet all the new members... Welcome ✨
This will be a Google Hangout Meeting and the link to join will be messaged to the yes RSVPs the day of the event.
Join any part for any length of time! 🙂
Hi everyone! We’ll make introductions in English and socialize for about half an hour. Then if there’s interest, we can split into separate virtual groups (with separate online links) to practice conversations in the different languages. Also anyone who wants to can just continue on the original link talking in English.
I’ll message the link that we’ll use for everyone to meet together the day of the event.
Any level from not-yet-started to very advanced are welcome!
Most who attend are focusing on Spanish, French, Japanese, or English. Plus sometimes other languages like Mandarin, German, Portuguese, or Italian. If you’re interested in a specific language, feel free to comment with that. Many of us speak quite a bit of the time in English, too.
See you there! ✨
