This will be a fun event! We will have our own tent for the tailgate party, live music and games, for the pre-match fun and we get to seat together, during the match. It is a BYOB (Bring-Your-Own-Booze) event. However, we will provide grill. Please feel free to bring anything to grill.

United was also the first club to win both the MLS Cup and MLS Supporters' Shield consecutively.

On the international stage, D.C. United has competed in both the CONCACAF Champions League (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CONCACAF_Champions_League) and its predecessor, the CONCACAF Champions' Cup. The club participated in the 2005 and 2007 editions of the Copa Sudamericana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_Sudamericana). Chivas USA is a professional soccer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_football) club located in the Los Angeles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles) suburb of Carson, California (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carson,_California), which competes in Major League Soccer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_League_Soccer) (MLS).

The club became the eleventh MLS team upon its entry into the league in 2004. In Spanish, chivas means "goats (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goat)", and is the nickname of C.D. Guadalajara.

Chivas USA plays its home games at the StubHub Center (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StubHub_Center) in Carson, which it shares with its rival, the Los Angeles Galaxy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_Galaxy). The club was originally owned by Jorge Vergara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jorge_Vergara), who also owns C.D. Guadalajara; in 2014, MLS purchased the club from Vergara with plans to sell it to new owners, who will rebrand the club in time for the 2015 season.

In 2005, Chivas USA kicked off its inaugural season in Major League Soccer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_League_Soccer) at The Home Depot Center (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Home_Depot_Center) with a 2-0 loss to then MLS Cup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MLS_Cup) Champions D.C. United (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D.C._United) on April 2, 2005.
