Karma

We often hear the casual use of the word karma in conversation, but in reality, karma is a complex concept. In general, it means that anything we do, think or say creates karma. This concept is similar to a law in physics for each action there is an equal opposite reaction.

Another way of putting it is that every good deed is rewarded, and every hurtful action brings with it harmful reaction. This Eastern concept is very different from the Western concept of a heaven or a hell. In the concept of karma there is no God in the sky dealing out punishments and rewards but a law of nature as neutral as gravity. Imbedded within this is the concept of ultimate justice. No one gets away with anything. The murderer or thief who is not caught by the police still serves a sentence for their harmful action.
