Thanks to everyone who has responded to this IoT Gurukul initiative by RSVPing for this meetup. The goal of this edition of the meetup is to kickstart a discussion towards a new thought process of imparting education in the technology space which is inspired by our ancient education system of India, based on the Gurukul system.
IoT is at a cusp where a lot of new ideas are emerging and the cost of building a prototype with hardware / software based tools is coming down. However, there is this huge learning curve due to the true heterogeneous nature of IoT based solution and its associated challenges.There is also a huge deficit of quality learning interventions which makes someone capable of designing their own product rather than earning a certificate to prove their merit for a job placement.
We want to embark upon a learning journey which is purpose driven. And that purpose has to be decided by you, the learners. What do you want to learn should depend on your purpose and the purpose should have a clear tangible definition centered around the creation.
We want to make sure that you as a learner can follow a path of independent learning guided by a mentor, discovering concepts and experimenting with hypothesis along the way, until you unveil your creation to the world. We want to do it by following the most innovative learning interventions available to us and molding it in the ancient system of Gurukula, to enable future education in the ancient way.
