Matter: The New and Unified Smart-Home Standard

After a wait of 2 long years, we are back with our monthly IoT meet-ups. The Covid-19 pandemic had brought the organization of offline meet-ups to a rapid and complete halt. Online meet-ups have undoubtedly been a useful stopgap, but the experience of going to an event in person is just not the same.

Matter is the new standard for connected things, guided by the Connectivity Standards Alliance, and developed through collaboration amongst all the leaders of the IoT industry.
Matter focuses on building connected devices that are secure, reliable, and seamless to use. The goal is to simplify development for manufacturers and increase compatibility for consumers.
