Thames Valley IoT MeetUp, 19th November 2025 at Plus X, Slough!

Plus X Innovation , The Future Works, 2 Brunel Place, Slough, SL1 1FQ, slough, GB

Join us on Wednesday, 19th November 2025 at Plus X Innovation, Slough for an evening of connection, insight, and the latest in connected technology.

Robin Kennedy (UKRI / Innovate UK) will introduce CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) - a breakthrough in processor security tackling one of the biggest causes of system vulnerabilities: the lack of memory safety in C and C++. Responsible for around 70% of today’s software security flaws, CHERI redefines how hardware and software combine to create safer, more resilient systems.

John Tuersley (Vodafone) will explore V2X(Vehicle) & Satellite IoT, including Vodafone STEP, a 5G and Edge Cloud-powered service that distributes, brokers, and validates V2X messages in real time to make roads safer. He’ll also share Vodafone’s upcoming Satellite IoT launches, including direct-to-device 4G/5G connectivity via AST Spacemobile and LPWA Satellite NB-IoT services.

Hosted at Plus X Innovation, a space built for creativity and collaboration, this is a chance to meet industry peers, innovators, and entrepreneurs over pizza, drinks, and great conversation.
