Wow- its been a long time. Does anyone fancy another meet-up? What would we want to be the context?

In the mean time I have been passed an urgent questionaire about creative industry space as a legacy for the Olympics... Do you want to have a say in this? I have attached a list of questions and the intro text- feel free to answer as many or as few as you like. If you want to have your thoughts registered then please email a response by tomorrow (20th Nov) to:

Hope to see you all soon

Existing space too expensive? Need more space? More power?

A 21st Century Home for the Creative Industry Sector
The 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games could leave London with a new home for creative and digital media businesses like yours. Your response to the questions below will impact crucial decisions that will be will be made in the next few weeks, by indicating likely levels of interest from the industry.

The vision for the Olympic media centre site in Hackney Wick is for a new media city that is home to large and small companies in the media and wider creative sector who value the advantages of being clustered together. The creative hub will be enlivened by shops, caf?s, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities; and woven into a modern metropolitan district with a high quality public realm. Offices and studios will sit alongside a mix of affordable homes, framed by idyllic parkland and waterways. This will be a well connected urban quarter with several thousand jobs and job opportunities.

To realise this exciting vision we must show evidence to the government and others that there is real interest from companies like yours in the creative sector to come to this new 'city' and we need to know what are the key considerations for you in making that decision.

This matter is urgent because decisions are about to be made on what is provided and where in relation to the Olympic Media Centre (International Broadcast Centre and Main Press Centre). We are therefore asking if you would let us have your responses to the following questions:

1. Would you be interested in taking space at the media centre site?

2. Roughly how much space do you think you would require?

3. What do you need to be close by:
Like businesses
Public transport
Other (please state)

4. How many staff do you think you would employ?

5. What rent level would you be prepared to pay?

6. What sort of lease would you want?
