From the Bièvre to the gardens of the Palace of Versailles

🥾 🌿 Let's go for a beautiful invitation to stroll. We will start by discovering the sources of the Bièvre, a river once unloved by Parisians. From the 17th century, in Paris, it was used as an open sewer. Baron Haussman had buried it. Fortunately in recent years, the river has been reborn with many rehabilitation projects. Following its course, we will walk along the different ponds. Then arrived on the heights of Versailles, we will be able to admire the gardens of the palace from above, before being able to walk in them.

· Starting point: In front of Relay (Bookstore), exit Porte Charles de Gaulle, Saint-Quentin en Yvelines - Montigny-le-Bretonneux station, RER C and Line N
· Finishing point: In front of the palace of Versailles. From there, you have access to three train stations (Versailles-Chantiers, Versailles Rive Droite and Versailles Château Rive Gauche). Choose the most convenient station for your final destination.
· Meeting time: 10:55 a.m.
· Departure at: 11.10 a.m.

Dès le XVIIème siècle, dans Paris, elle fût utilisée comme égout à ciel ouvert. Le Baron Haussman la fit enterrée. Heureusement depuis quelques années, la rivière renaît avec de nombreux projets de réhabilitation. En suivant son cours, nous nous baladerons le long des différents étangs. Puis arrivés sur les hauteurs de Versailles, nous pourrons admirer les jardins du château d’en haut, avant de pouvoir nous promener dedans.
