Learn how to do Nordic Polewalking or Nordic Walking or PoleWalking or Walking with Sticks — however you want to call it!
We are polewalking on the Naples Beach & The Gordon River Greenways for the past 20 years already & are fitter because of it. This exercise is burning approx 45% more calories over just walking without poles because you engage your upper body.
Try it out — we have three group-walks per week:

Saturday morning — stretching & newcomer instructions begins 7:30 A.M. right on the beach @14th Ave South Beach Access in Olde Naples (South from the Naples Pier).
Depending on your fitness level, this 5 mile, 1.5 hour Nordic Polewalk takes us from 14th Ave South Beach Access along the Olde Naples & Port Royal Beaches to Gordon Pass & back. After the walk we have coffee on the beach. So bring your chair, coffee & pastries.
Tuesday late afternoon — walks adjust to daylight & temperatures, either 4:30 pm, 5:00 or 5:30 pm. Check our calendar. Stretching begins right on the beach @14th Ave South Beach Access in Olde Naples (South from the Naples Pier).
Depending on your fitness level, this 5 mile, 1.5 hour Nordic Polewalk takes us from 14th Ave South Beach Access along the Olde Naples & Port Royal Beaches to Gordon Pass & back.
After the walk, we often sit to enjoy the sunset with our snacks.
Thursday morning — 7:30 AM, just walk, no instructions. We are meeting at the roundabout parking behind the Naples Zoo Parking close to the Gordon River Greenway. Our roundtrip walk is 4.4 miles to near Baker Park and back.
After the walk, we have breakfast at a cafe in the area.

New-comer Instruction: $10 (includes pole-rental).
Instructions are free if you become a member.
Annual Membership: $20 for year-round residents.
Seasonal “snowbird” members: $15.
General Pole-Rental $5/walk.
If you are in need to rent walking poles, please arrive a few minutes earlier at the PARKING LOT.

THIS IS AN EXERCISE WALK & NOT FOR BAREFOOT or SANDALS WALKING!!
It’s NOT a stroll on the beach for collecting shells. So we insist that you wear closed walking shoes like sneakers & take water along your walk in a drink belt or backpack! It's detrimental to your health to not drink water during this walk, especially during the hot summer months. Wear a hat & sun protection to protect against overheating on sunny and hot days.
