Introduction to the Gurdjieff Work

Details

We now conduct virtual MeetUp meetings exclusively.

As the group now conducts both online and in-person group meetings, it does not matter too much where you live, if you are currently only interested in online meetings.

The purpose of the virtual meeting is to discuss The Work and one's individual knowledge and experience. In the case of those local to Austin, after an online meeting, there may be an in-person meeting prior to admission to group meetings.

The MeetUp is organized by The Austin Gurdjieff Society.
The group website is: https://austingurdjieff.org/

The group's activities are:

  • Weekly meetings
  • Virtual meetings
  • Work Days
  • Movements classes with an associate group in New Braunfels
  • A Week of Work in the Summer
  • Producing The Lost Herald, a web newsletter/webzine

That's the full extent of the Austin Gurdjieff Society's activities. Outside of the usual activities, the focus of this group's work is the study of Gurdjieff's Writings and the study of Objective Science.

If you are interested in becoming part of The Austin Gurdjieff Society, sign-up for a virtual meeting and we'll take it from there.
