Tame Impala ‘Currents’ Album Synth Soundbath & Listening Experience

Good Luck Vinyl Club is hosting a listening experience celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Tame Impala’s ‘Currents’ album at the historic Rancho Los Cerritos in Long Beach.

Experience this album in full force with a synth sound bath, chill DJ sets, and live performances timed with visual projections mapped onto nature.

See the beautiful sun set on the Ranchos while enjoying music, fresh mulled wine, tacos and tamales. The gardens and courtyard will be open to explore all afternoon if you need alone time! It’s a historic site so this should be epic.

Here’s the schedule:

3PM- Synthesizer Soundbath conducted by LA Synth Club

5PM- We will be listening to the album front-to-back on vinyl, outdoors on the grass & on a state-of-the-art Hi-Fi Sound System.

6PM- Sound from the Band will be playing a live set playing originals alongside covers from Tame Impala albums Lonerism & Innerspeaker.

Plus Synth Workshops & Vinyl DJ Sets!

Make sure to bring blankets/warm jacket as the weather can get chilly.

'Currents' released on July 15, 2015 is the third album from Tame Impala, the music project created & recorded solely by mastermind Kevin Parker at his home in Fremantle, Australia. Currents represented a stylistic departure from the guitar-heavy Psychedelic Rock of Innerspeaker (2010) and Lonerism (2012). Moving strongly toward Synth-driven, Electronic, R&B, and Dance influences, inspired by artists like Daft Punk and Modern-Pop production. The album revolves heavily around personal transformation, breakups, internal conflict, and acceptance of change, influencing & captivating audiences around the world with pure sonic-force.
