Firefly Viewing (Riverwood)

Come out and enjoy a rare opportunity of being at the lake county forest preserve after hours. We'll be attending a firefly viewing at Ryerson Woods in Riverwoods.

First we'll stop in at the Education Center to learn the firefly life cycle, their importance and how to make your yard firefly-friendly. Then we'll walk in the woods and enjoy the light show.

There will not be a formal presentation. A slide show of firefly information will play on a loop, and Forest Preserve staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Recommended Dress Code:

• Comfortable shoes for walking
• Lightweight long sleeves and pants
