In addition to the open forum, I've arranged for a brief (~15 minute) guest talk from a patent attorney, Sharon Adams. Sharon Adams is a patent attorney representing clients bringing consumer products to market. She helps clients obtain patents to protect their products in today’s competitive marketplace. Not only will this be our first event in a while, this will be our first virtual event.

I've heard from a number of you. The idea of a virtual open forum seems interesting to a significant number of you. So, we're going to move forward with this event. I will host it on Zoom.

Zoom is free to use and you don't need to load any software. However, you will need a camera for your computer and microphone. The microphone can be embedded in your computer or you could have a separate one. Zoom is also available for your smartphone. Although the experience on a smartphone is not as good as a tablet, laptop, or computer.

Would you please register for this event. Meetup had me put the Zoom link into this event's registration. However, I am not sure if that will be enough to get you into the Zoom room since I also passworded the event. Once you register, I'll be able to send you the full information including the meeting password.

The first half an hour or so we'll be catching up with each other and networking. From there we will go into an open forum discussion. I will be available to answer any questions that you have about any of the projects you're working on. However, please remember that this is a non-confidential environment. So your questions should be limited to things that are not disclosing confidential information.
