Sunny Parikh - Vice President, Partnership Fund for New York City
Sunny is a Vice President at the Partnership Fund for New York City. Sunny focuses on emerging digital health, fintech and insurtech companies. As part of his role, Sunny leads the FinTech Innovation Lab, where emerging technology companies collaborate with senior executives from over leading financial and insurance institutions. Companies that have participated in the Lab include Digital Asset, Digital Reasoning, Enigma, Kasisto, Nova Credit, Pymetrics and OpenFin. Prior to the Partnership Fund, Sunny was Director of Strategy & Finance at RedVision (sold to First American). Previously, Sunny was an investor at Updata Partners focusing on growth-equity technology investments. Prior to Updata Partners, Sunny worked in the Technology Investment Banking Group at ThinkEquity Partners. He is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Joanne Lin - Principal, Newark Venture Partners
Joanne joins Newark Venture Partners with a unique blend of experience including investment banking, private equity/venture capital and entrepreneurship. In her most recent role as an education investor with University Ventures, Joanne sourced, vetted and supported seed and growth stage investments in companies transforming the higher education space. She is also co-founder of a Newark-based social enterprise, called Locus Labs, aimed at expanding community access to digital manufacturing technology. Joanne was previously an investment banking Associate at JPMorgan, and a TeachForAmerica corps member in NYC. Joanne has a M. Ed from Hunter College and a BA in Economics from Barnard.
David Sica - Principal, Nyca Partners
Prior to joining Nyca Partners, David was a Director at Visa, focusing on the merchant side of the business during a period of government regulation and new payment innovation. Before Visa, David worked at Merrill Lynch in Real Estate Investment Banking and Institutional Sales, specializing in emerging markets. David is a graduate of The George Washington University.
