.The 2-3hr long field study/ photowalk is a variation of the Situationists “Derive” technique - aimed to unleash the hidden gems in the everyday sityscapes.
.Pl.0 is a test d(e)rive - as I’ve never conducted one in New York before, it’s an experiment. The map we navigate on is wrong - and you can’t use your gadgets for way finding (just the rules of the game ,). The collaged map of Haarlem (Netherlands) will be our lens of perceiving Harlem (New York) for this hunt.
.The results - an alternative treasure map (points where we’ll catch an interesting vista in addition to the treasures mapped) and collective cloud of photos - aka “Invisible map of the place”
