IONS Austin Community Group is a registered community group of the INSTITUTE OF NOETIC SCIENCES (IONS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Please visit http://www.noetic.org. ”Noetic” comes from the Greek word “nous," which means “intuitive mind” or “inner knowing.”

IONS was co-founded by the late astronaut Edgar Mitchell in 1973. The Institute of Noetic Sciences is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individual and collective transformation through consciousness research, transformative learning, and engaging a global community in the realization of our human potential.

IONS AUSTIN Community Group LEADERSHIP: The Austin IONS community was launched in 1993 and has been blessed with strengths in leadership with exceptional programs and speakers through the years.

The IONS Austin Community Group Leader(CGL) is Joe Lam. Joe aspires to introduce dynamic, compelling, and transformative noetic programs to the IONS Austin’s community.

General topics range from quantum effects, research findings, psych, para-psych, and other metaphysical and consciousness related interests. Additionally, IONS Austin Community Group welcomes expert speakers in the fields of health and healthcare, wellness, community, ecology, environmental and sustainability.

In fostering the pursuit of excellence in our humanity, we seek to be part of an interconnected whole and are inspired to take action to help humanity and the planet thrive.

COSTS OF MEETINGS: Costs range from free-will love offering for our Speakers Series to low commensurate costs for workshops and retreats.
