May Meetup!
Details
Hallo hallo!
Hope everyone has had a productive month! I know everything's been nutso with Dave and I while we get Code for Travel off the ground, but we're finally rolling. It's an exciting time for mobile right now, and I'm stoked to be a part of it.
May's meetup will once again be hosted by Echo in the South Plaza building downtown. We'll station people downstairs between Pipers Bar and Urban Flats to help get you into the building. I'm going to be a bit stricter with the time limits this month, and I ask that you please be downtown and at the South Plaza building by 7:15PM. If you show up past 7:15, I cannot guarantee you'll be able to get into the building. Please do what you can to be on time.
Everyone seemed very interested in the game Brian Stabile and the AstroCrow team put together, so I've asked him to put together a post-mortem to present to the group. He'll be discussing the ups and downs of developing their game "The Last Ace of Space (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-last-ace-of-space/id429228289?mt=8)", which is available now on the App Store for a measly 99 cents. I'd strongly recommend downloading the game and playing with it so you know what he's talking about during his presentation. Also, it never hurts to help local developers. ;-)
Finally, I've created a page on the meetup for members to list their apps for everyone to take a look at and download. The page is called "Applications Our Members Have Written (https://www.meetup.com/Orlando-iOS-Developer-Group/pages/Applications_Members_Have_Written/)" and it's able to be edited by anyone in the group. Feel free to add your projects on there as you launch them. If you add an app, be sure to e-mail the mailing list to let us know you've updated it!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this month! Thanks again for all your support while we grow this meetup.
See you soon!
Andrew
