Octavian Costache from the hit commerce app of the year, Spring, will present on Automated iOS Integration Testing on a Large-Scale Consumer App, benefits, tradeoffs
Octavian is an ex-Googler that built the Google Finance charts, the Multiple Inboxes GMail lab feature. Octavian is now the CTO of Spring, one of Apple's Best Apps of 2014 and one of the few apps that Apple Pay launched with. The talk will cover Spring's experience with end-to-end iOS integration tests, why we chose not to write unit tests yet, how these are connected to the code review process, and some of the benefits and tradeoffs of these tests.
