Rust on ESP32

Dear IoT Basel Community,

This meetup is all about using Rust for embedded development. The goal is to help you decide whether you should take the plunge. We'll start with an overview of the current ecosystem around embedded Rust and discuss its advantages and disadvantages. In the second part, we'll go through setting up a simple project on an ESP32 microcontroller and explore the tools used to flash and debug it.

We'll bring a few extra MCUs for those who want to follow along. To participate, make sure to bring a computer with the Rust toolchain installed as well as your own USB-C cable.

This talk is for anyone interested in the language or embedded programming, from absolute beginners to professional IoT developers. You do not need to know anything about Rust to follow the talk.

After the presentation, there will be time for Q&A, networking and some beers. Don't miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of Rust and its implications for the future of IoT.
